Google Adsense for Mobile Officially Goes Online

Google Adsense For Mobile I received the latest update from Google Adsense support team and excited to know Google officially launched Adsense for Mobile!

All Adsense Publishers from US, Germany, Spain, England, France, Italy, Ireland, Russia, Netherlands, China, Australia, India and Japan now can expand your online content to new platforms. If you have a website optimized for mobile browsers, or are interested in creating one, you can start monetizing your mobile site by accessing a growing number of mobile advertisers.

What you need to do is just login to your Adsense account, you will notice a new link in your overview page – Adsense for Mobile – Get Started

Before using it, your website must be “mobile-compliant”, otherwise the ads won’t display. The technical requirement :-

“If you don’t currently have a mobile website (and chances are, if you’re not sure, then you don’t have one), you can create one by rewriting your existing website in a mobile markup language, such as XHTML, WML, or CHTML. You’ll also need to make sure the layout of your website is properly formatted to display on mobile phones.

In addition, your mobile website will need to be developed using server-side scripting such as PHP or ASP. Many web hosting providers support PHP, and in many cases, you can PHP-enable your webpages simply by changing the file extension from .htm to .php. Thereafter you can paste the PHP code snippet into the section of the page where you want the AdSense for mobile ads to appear.”

Once your mobile website is set, then setting the ads is pretty simple – very similar to setting up ads for normal websites. Currently the mobile adsense ads came in 2 format i.e. single or double ads ( both are displayed in text form) see the pictures below
