Fake resumes are resumes where alterations have been made to one’s true employment history. If you making a fake resume, so as to make it look more appropriate for the job you are applying for, or more favorable as in terms of your skills and experience, it is also called a false resume. It is not necessarily in which aspect you may be hiding unfaltering truths about yourself.
False resumes are not uncommon to find these days. Be it a clerical job or the job of the manager of a big company false resumes have been made for all kinds of job, for the simple reason that they make the possibility of getting the desired job greater. But you must be wondering does it actually help them in the end?
Well, the answer is yes it does, to a certain extent. But then, a lot also depends on a number of factors. The first most important thing to really worry about is the way you fake things in your genuine resumes. Talking too highly about your qualifications and experience, especially when you do not really have much idea as to what you are talking about yourself, can land you into real trouble and embarrassing situations later on, when you go for the interview.
Lying about academic qualifications is also very tough to handle, since you would almost certainly be asked to produce related documents in the later stages of your selection process. However, faking only a little about you past experiences could be a great idea, that too if you prepare yourself well for all sorts of possible related questions.
However, what is really amazing is the fact that these days, whether they admit it or not, but most employers, while selecting candidates, are well aware of the fact that a lot in your resume is not going to be you. Not that false resumes are considered as an offence by them, but then they cannot deny that they are mentally prepared for it, since it is the only practical way to take up the matter.
However, you should at no cost let them have any idea abut your fake resume, no matter how mentally prepared they may be. In fact even after you get into the job, never ever let your employer know about your resume fraud. After all who can take such a thing as being lied to and deceived sportingly?!
So if you are planning to prepare a false resume for getting yourself that dream job you have had your eyes on ever since you could remember, then maybe it is not such a bad idea after all. However, do make sure that you lie smartly, and do your homework well in advance, so you know what to do if you get caught!
Lying is an art, so in case you do not possess too many job skills, learn this one skill of writing a fake resume to get you a job! Not a very bad option is it?!
